Hey guys, I use premiere every day.

Premiere Pro 2 is what you want, CS3 is coming out soon as a bundle with the new verision, I also have the official tutorial CD.

You do need a powerful PC to run it, i'm using dual core 3.0ghz processor and 4 gig of ram and it still struggles at times.

Other options are AVID free DV, less stress on your OS, only draw back with avid is that it can be fussy when accepting certain formats of file. Avid is good because the full version of free DV does everything you need however it is a bit full on for beginners but they do have interactive help on the website. Typically it used to structure completed projects for broadcasting but as I said, it is free and full.

If I had a choice, i'd go a Mac with Final cut though :)

Are you streaming via fire wire or via a HDD cam?

meh, film making hoons, pm me or msn me if you want a chat
