Removing inner rack ends

Recommended Posts

Hey guys I'm stuck on removing the inner rack ends.

I've removed the tie rod ends and now stuck as I dont have a crow foot wrench/spanner big enough to lock onto it.

If you have done this before what did you use?

JUst a shifter

Sometimes using a jack to apply pressure to crack it rather than smashing your hand

Cheers mate! Found a big shifter and used jack and done it easy.

Another thing I'm unsure of... The new ends have about 10 threads more on the end so I would replace the tie rod ends on and do the same thread count or add an extra 10 threads to it?

One of the tie rod end thread started spinning short of the split pin for some reason..

Still got those ends? :)
